Job Description Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope is a Classical Catholic high school that opened in 2023 in Warwick, RI. We are seeking a full-time teacher in Latin and Humanities, and a part-time teacher in Visual Arts. Teachers will be responsible for providing high quality instruction and mentorship that helps students develop dispositions of wonder, friendship, knowledge, and faith. Key skills include careful planning, clear communication, classroom leadership, strong organization, and the ability to establish a classroom environment characterized by joy, respect, order, wonder, and deep engagement. Strong applicants must be animated by a spirit of wonder and the desire to grow intellectually, professionally, in character, and in faith. Having taught or previously been educated in classical schools is desirable. A Chesterton Art Teacher should be able to appreciate the entire tradition, including ancient, medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical, impressionist, and post-impressionist (e.g. Cezanne and Van Gogh). The teacher should be able to elicit a love of art in the students, and guide high school students through art projects in several media.
