Salary: $131,300 - 237,350 per year Requirements:

• We require a BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with at least 6 years of directly related experience.
• We need experience contributing to large-scale software development programs in a technical leadership role.
• We require a strong grasp of the full software development lifecycle and experience supporting highly critical customer missions.
• We expect familiarity with software configuration management tools and change-tracking processes.
• We need excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
• We require experience with planning and cost estimation.
• We need experience delivering work under Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
• We require Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration experience, including SELinux.
• We need mid-level experience with MySQL, SQL, Oracle SE, and PostgreSQL, including clustering.
• We require hands-on experience with Tomcat, Nginx, systemd, Ansible, OpenSSL, and Percona XtraDB Cluster.
• We prefer experience with cost accounting and earned value management.
• We prefer familiarity with the National Airspace System and FAA NextGen air traffic control programs.
• We prefer background in ERAM software engineering, especially infrastructure and support software products.
• We prefer prior experience with ERAM software processes, ERAM software architecture, and business rhythms.
• We prefer understanding of operating systems, CAS, COTS products, and lifecycle management, particularly Linux OS.

• We maintain the software architecture document for ERAM operational, operational support, and factory environments.
• We serve as the CAS software architecture document owner and keep CAS/FOSS records current.
• We build working knowledge of CAS/FOSS components and how they are used within the system.
• We develop deeper familiarity with the overall system architecture to help identify potential CAS/FOSS options for future SIGs.
• We participate in SIG/PRED preparation and reviews that affect CAS/FOSS.
• We consult with software teams on the design and implementation of solutions, including CAS/FOSS.
• We support end-of-life assessments.
• We manage the FOSS process and act as the FOSS manager approver.
• We guide the NDI process and own the related documentation.
• We monitor CAS/FOSS licensing and coordinate with legal teams when needed.
• We collaborate with other programs to share best practices for CAS/FOSS usage.
• We review security findings and problem reports related to system CAS/FOSS.
• We evaluate whether CAS/FOSS has any distribution limitations for the FAA.
• We create keys and CSRs and maintain SSL certificates using OpenSSL.
• We perform maintenance on web applications and database servers running on RHEL in both Gaithersburg and remote environments.
• We architect and enhance web server and RHEL server configurations using Ansible playbooks.
• We handle software installation, configuration, updates, certificate administration, service account management, and DBA tasks across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle SE environments.
