Duties

• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast ensuring quick and correct processing
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations
• Use reservation systems like Resy to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
• Strong knowledge of Toast and cashiering procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with food preparation, bussing, host/hostess duties, and basic math for cash handling transactions
• Familiarity with reservation platforms like OpenTable and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
