Job Description

Our client is growing - and is looking for a dynamic Head of Business Development to help expand their footprint across the construction industry in Southern California. This is an opportunity to shape strategy, build lasting partnerships, and drive major growth in commercial and healthcare projects.

What You'll Do

  • Design and lead comprehensive business development strategies that position our client as a preferred partner in the construction market.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities across commercial and healthcare sectors.
  • Build and nurture relationships with owners, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage the entire pursuit process - from lead generation and relationship management to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define growth targets and revenue objectives.
  • Track and report progress using key performance metrics such as pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue projections.
  • Research market trends, monitor competitors, and uncover new areas for expansion.
  • Partner closely with project management and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years of experience leading business development in construction - ideally within commercial, healthcare.
  • Proven record of winning and managing multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to turn insight into action - and deliver measurable results.
