The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First Region, is seeking a full-time attorney in our Pensacola, FL office. The qualified applicant should have a minimum of three (3) years’ legal experience, preferably in Criminal Defense and/or Civil dependency and termination of parental rights cases and must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar. The Attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, to include jury trials, non-jury trials, motion practice, and should have the motivation and ability to cover cases on multiple dockets in both the criminal and civil areas of constitutionally required indigent defense. Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research and writing legal documents and filings, and providing an ongoing assessment of the merits of a case. The position is a full time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits with a salary range commensurate with the successful applicant's experience.
