Controller

Our client, a growing healthcare services organization with a multi-location platform, is seeking a Controller to lead all accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. 

Location:
This role is remote 4 days per week, and 1 day in-office at their headquarters near the Temple, TX area, to maintain team culture. The client is only considering candidates local to the TX area. 

Job Description: 
This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, mentor a team, and support strategic initiatives in a dynamic, private equity-backed environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, provider compensation, and fixed assets.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Partner with the CFO and FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead process improvements, system integrations, and automation projects.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering accuracy and accountability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a Controller role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems.
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment; healthcare preferred.
