Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical Accounting Clerk to join our client in Frisco, TX. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on investigation and problem-solving, with a heavy emphasis on managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and maintaining a healthy aging report. While there are light Accounts Payable (AP) duties, the primary focus of this position is to optimize cash flow through collaborative customer collections and discrepancy resolution. Previous NetSuite experience is preferred but not required. If you are looking for a long term opportunity with great work life balance including a hybrid schedule, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Collections (Primary Focus)
- Proactive Collections: Manage the AR aging report; make outbound collection calls and send correspondence to customers to ensure timely payments while maintaining positive, professional relationships.
- Discrepancy Troubleshooting: Investigate, research, and problem-solve billing discrepancies, short payments, or skipped invoices. Work cross-functionally to get to the root cause of billing issues.
- Payment Processing: Accurately post daily customer payments (ACH, checks, credit cards) and reconcile accounts.
Accounts Payable (Secondary Focus)
- Light AP Management: Process a low volume of vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain occasional vendor communication regarding payment status.
General Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end closing procedures as they relate to AR and collections.
- Maintain organized, secure digital financial records.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting or support to management as needed.
